The allure of combination VL/DL devices is such that Mcgrath Mac has become a first choice for several prehospital services in Australia, especially here in my state of Queensland! But as you can read from the open access article , it is not as good as others in terms of light source intensity and screen resolution. Sure its cheaper than the CMAC which is best overall in this article testing. So I dont buy this arguement that you get the best of both worlds in combination VL/DL devices. In fact you can get far less of both worlds!
