  1. Nice work! Using the Yankauer as well can help you maneuver the tongue onto the proper part of the Mac blade, reducing the difficulty of getting FPS of blade placement. Intubating a patient today (electively) with the McGrath MAC, I was able to maneuver the tongue to the proper part of the left side of the flange using the Yankauer (no vomit involved), and this simplified my laryngoscopy, because it reduced the number of maneuvers I needed to make to get the tongue properly positioned on the blade for DL.
