Its Australia day today, January 26th.
I live in a land of contrasts. Its summer here and in the far north, its tropical storm season. So there has been a lot of rain. Still many parts of our state are in official drought. Last year was hottest ever on record. In my patch of retrieval/PHARM turf, the rains have brought a welcome relief to many though.
I enjoy flying amongst some of the most beautiful terrain and displays of Mother Nature on Earth.
So here’s an updated view from my office. Have a great Australia Day wherever you are!

Awesome photos, glad some of QLD is getting rain, such excitement when the rains do come.reminds me o when I lived in flood prone areas, loved getting flooded in because we could literally float down the main road as there were no cars or trucks etc and under mums supervision! Missed a lot of family events though, great excuse not to go anywhere because we were flooded in π then the wild flowers and glorious new growth and pick for the stock was always welcome. Happy memories of being in a chopper flying over a flooded lake that only had water in it during floods such a contrast with salt as far as the eye could see and some time later water as far as the eye could see and as far as the sand dunes on the other side further out, complete with migratory swans it was great.
