From my colleague Dr Chow, demonstrating an advanced practice–using a rigid suction catheter to simultaneously decontaminate an airway while partnering the forces of the rigid suction catheter with the lifting (and separating) force of the laryngoscope blade to attain first pass success in laryngoscope blade placement. Suction maintained in the upper esophageal location during airway intubating catheter (Bougie) insertion and tracheal tube advancement. Master work from Dr Chow.
