Editors’ note: Ketamine officially endorsed by ACEP as prehospital sedation for acute agitation needing ultrarapid control, especially for suspected excited delirium syndrome

I dont endorse midazolam as being the ideal prehospital sedative for agitation. Droperidol is superior. Haloperidol is acceptable alternative.
