Dr Richard Levitan demonstrates 15l/min nasal oxygen
Sometimes when teaching nasal oxygenation during efforts securing a tube ( NODESAT as coined by Dr Levitan), I get the question :”Well 15L/min must be uncomfortable for the awake patient?”
I tried it myself and its not. Not for the minutes it will take to do the RSI! At a recent airway workshop run by Dr Levitan, we recorded the video of him demonstrating 15l/min nasal oxygen via a wall flow regulator.
He relates the following story of how he first used NODESAT after hearing about it from an anaesthetist at a conference.
